SOD: Gotcha! EJ's Kidnapping Scheme exposed

It starts off as a good week for EJ: Arianna is released on bail and Sami admits that she might have feelings for him. “That’s a lot more than, ‘I hate you and I want to hide my kid from you and you’re awful,’” points out James. “Baby steps. He thinks things are moving in a very positive direction. He’ll take it easy because he understands that’s quite a big deal for her to admit, given their history. Just living in the house is a big deal, so absolutely, he’s very happy.”

Unbeknownst to him, his world is about to come crashing down. Nicole is determined to find out what evidence that EJ has on her in the case against Arianna. “She feels like he would be strangling her right now if he had something on her, but then again, maybe he wants to build it up and he has something. But he couldn’t possibly have something because it was planted so clean. She wants to believe him but she can’t, but she can’t not believe him. There is so much going through her head. She has to cover her tracks and just find out for sure if he’s really got something on her or not.”

She tries to slyly get some information out of Sami, but that gets her nowhere. Nicole then runs into Stefano, who lies that he has seen EJ’s proof. “He kind of give her that false sense of, ‘We’ve got something: you better watch out,’ kind of thing and that feels like an empty threat to Nicole too,’ notes Ari. “It all sounds a little bluff-y because she lived with them and she feels like she knows the DiMeras. They would have called her out on it immediately and taken care of the situation. That’s how they work.”

Because she can’t rest easy until she knows the truth, Nicole heads to the Dimera mansion to do some snooping. “She knows the ins and outs, so she sneaks around the high-tech cameras. She knows where they are and passes all the goons and the dogs,” cracks Ari. “She is so determined to find something in there, so she starts sifting through the drawers in the living room and she finds a tape recorder and is like, ‘Oh, I’ll take that…one never knows.’ Then she decides to take a gander upstairs in EJ’s room.”

There, she is hit with a painful reminder of the past. “She comes across the sonogram from the baby they would have had together and she has a brief moment about it, then puts it in her pocket, “ says Ari. “I like that they show glimpses of what Nicole could have had, would have had, should have had and not just that she shut it all off. She’s obviously covering a lot.”

Nicole’s search for the proof against her is futile. “She can’t find whatever she’s looking for, though she doesn’t know what she’s looking for. She finds nothing,” sighs AZ. “And that’s when she moseys downstairs to look elsewhere and EJ and Stefano come home.”

Uh-oh. “She knows they don’t go into the kitchen, so she hides behind the entryway that leads to the kitchen,” continues Ari. Nicole also decides to turn on the tape recorder she found…just in case. “They start talking about the situation with the baby switch and what he’s doing with Sami and how he wants to have a family with her and Stefano is telling him that he hopes she never finds out about the kidnapping. And Nicole gets it all on tape.”

Nicole is stunned by the admission that EJ masterminded his daughter’s disappearance. “She’s also sad because EJ says is that all he ever wanted was a family and it kind of gets her in the heart, on top of the fact that he’s the one who hurt everybody,” says Ari. “Nicole knows she hurt everybody by switching the babies, but that has all come out, so the fact that he continued to do it is hard for her.”

Nicole immediately knows what her next move will be. “She leaves with all this information and she’s like, ‘I’ve got him.’ She is totally going to blackmail him. She makes copies of the tape and sends them off places.”

The next morning, she calls EJ to meet up. “They have this sort of strange thing,” observes James Scott. “I think he gets on on seeing her in a funny way. But he’s also trying to get information out of her.” Once together, “She plays the game of ‘I’ve got something on you,’ without actually saying that,” says Ari. “He keeps thinking she’s got nothing because she’s toying with him. He’s like, ‘You don’t have anything. I’ve got something on you!’ And she’s like, ‘Really? No you don’t.’ And she presses play and he hears himself admitting to kidnapping Sydney.”

EJ manages to keep his cool, but sighs Scott, “It’s the one thing that could completely ruin his entire life. There’s a whole shift in the balance of power. She is a loose cannon.”

I like that Nicole is getting involved with the babyswitch storyline again, as she well should. I hope that she reveals the truth, rather than Rafe.

I'd love to see Ej ruined by Nicole. It would be poetic justice. I hope tptb don't screw this up. Ej deserves his come uppins and having Nicole spew forth would be the perfect punishment for him.
Now, I could handle Sami forgiving him for this, but not staying with him. I have a feeling Sami will be out of that mansion. Even though I direly wish it was Lucas, I would much rather have her with Rafe then Ej.

Ej needs a woman like Nicole or Ari. As soon as Nicole gets that info I will start watching again. I think that happens sometime next week.

I still wish Bryan was back on the show again. I just want him there and in a good story line.

No, EJ does not. I want him to get in touch with his dark side without any females to weaken him. James excels at that and that is the EJ I can tolerate.

I am very happy to hear that the babyswitch storyline is coming to an end soon. This has been milked far too long.

Its actually pretty frightening this article on some boards. Fans are geting mean and ugly to each other and tptb thrives on it. The sick thing is, the fans are allowing this kind of mean behavior and playing right into tptb's hands.

Its very sad that people on some boards, not this one of course, can't like whom they wanna like and hate whom they wanna hate. It is just a soap after all.

I'm so glad that Nicole found out what EJ did! I'm tired of him acting like he is so superior and so much better than her, when the truth is he is not! Anyway, I don't know if the truth will finally come out from Nicole. I think either Sami will hear it from EJ himself, or Rafe will find out the truth and tell Sami.

Most likely the latter. I can't see EJ telling Sami the truth. If he did, I would be shocked.

So would I. Ej won't tell teh truth unless backed into a corner. Remember he knew that John was a live and wouldn't tell Marlena unless she was pratically on top of him to do so? To bad, so sad, Ej is gonna get his scheme exposed. Sooner rather then later would be nice!

I don't see EJ telling the truth even if backed into a corner. It's just not who he is.

I am enjoying the EJ and Nicole scenes; playing cat and mouse. Those two really have great chemistry in this situation.

As much as I love Lumi, I am taking a break from them for a while. I am sick of the Safe/Lumis and Ejamis at each other's throats. I'm going to support Nicole for a while. I love Ari Zucker. Its high time the ball was in her court for a long while. I just want her to bring Ej down. If she ends up with him great, its better then him and Sami. At this point, I am over Sami and her flavor of the day club. Sorry, in a bit of a mood this morning!
