Sami and EJ -- Together Again... and Busted!
"The stuff that is coming up between the two of them is h-o-t," declares James Scott of Sami and EJ. "It's charged, sexy stuff."
The week begins with the duo about to share a steamy kiss for the first time since she thought he died on the pier. "Sami is really attracted to EJ. He says all the right things and they're in a close proximity and it feels natural and they're moving closer in for a kiss and Will walks in," previews Alison Sweeney (Sami). "She's mortified that he caught her and she gets very defensive with Will and then has to act like nothing's wrong, but in her mind, she's like, 'Yeah, I can't believe I really did that.' "
EJ can. "I truly, truly believe and I know there are lots of people who will fight this argument, but I truly believe that EJ honestly and humbly and completely and for all the most beautiful of reasons loves Samantha," elaborates Scott. "I know that he has difficulty in the way in which he deals with things, partly because of his upbringing and partly because of not having any real role models who taught him how to have a healthy relationship. If you take that all aside, he loves her in a very pure and beautiful way."
They grow even closer when Rafe sends an FBI jacket for Johnny that has EJ on edge. "It's a cute little beat," smiles Sweeney. "The backstory is that Rafe promised Johnny he would send him an FBI jacket, so then it just randomly turns up and Johnny is super-excited about it. And it sets EJ back, like, 'How am I supposed to tell my kid what I do for a living.' Sami says something like, 'Do you want me to get him a gangster jacket, too, and we can switch off?' He's like, 'It's not funny. It's serious.' It's very disarming in that he genuinely feels that way. And she's trying to make him feel better and says, 'If you want me to go tell him you're a great guy I will because you are. And you have to know that. He loves you and he's so proud of you as his dad. And by the way, you don't have to do what Stefano wants you to do. You can do whatever you want.' And, of course, he has all this subtext that he's trapped in this relationship with his father, but from her perspective, he's a good guy and a great dad. She's finally saying all these things to EJ that he really wants to hear her say and he knows he doesn't deserve it, but he wants to."
The mood again turns intimate, but this time, Stefano walks in. "He does this awkward [throat-clearing] interruption and says something like, 'There are 30 rooms in this house and you have to be here' " says Sweeney. "Sami is again mortified. And at that point, I think there's another story going on where Stefano knows where Rafe is and how to silence him and there's all this underplay between him and EJ."
But Sweeney admits that Sami is fighting her feelings for both of her exes. "For her, it's very physical at this point and there's this tension and chemistry between her and EJ," she notes. "But she does still love Rafe, so she is trying to balance that out. When she calls him to thank him for the FBI jacket, he basically hangs up on her. The audience sees a whole picture that she doesn't see, but from her perspective, he blew her off. If you were Sami's friend and only heard Sami's side, you would tell her to ditch Rafe because he's being not cool with her. So, she's trying to get on with her life and trying to let go of this guy that she has major feelings for. She has this sexual attraction to this guy she's known for a long time who has has two kids and history with and part of her is like, 'Why shouldn't I be with him? The rational part is that he's done tons of stuff to her in the past and there's so much water under the bridge, but she can talk herself into anything..."

Ugh, I don't know why I post these here.
These articles are getting so annoying. It is still my opinion that this is going nowhere. Yes, maybe EJ & Sami will be together for a second, like they were when Lucas rejected her, but she will find out that he's still a no-good liar and that will be the end. This is such a rehash of that old story, Lucas tells her to move on, so she turns to EJ, now Rafe is turning her away, and she's turning to EJ. How does that sound like true love? EJ is always going to be her last choice.
